Asakusa
This is Sensouji – 浅草寺 in Tokyo ASAKUSA. And the simbol is the KAMINARI MON. There is a big lantern. If you have not been to this place, you should visit once. But if you really want to see a real Japanese Culture. You have to see the back-ground of what you see.
About this Gate. This gate was rebuilt by Panasonic, KOUNOSUKE MATSUSHITA in 1960. Because of fire in 1865, during about 95 years there was a temporary gate. Mr. MATSUSHITA was a great CEO in Japan. Japanese old architecutre are not so many in Japan. Why is that? Maybe, Japan need to have a strong house because of a lot of earthquake and other.
So, if you see Japanese temples, you should stop and see the details. You can see how detail it is.

Main street of ASAKUSA
It was rainy day. This street is the main street after you pass the KAMINARI MON. If it is weekend, wow there are so many people. While you walk the street, you will be able to see a lot of souvenirs such as traditional food, toys and goods. Well, it is fun to see also.

Some of houses are so old. And low roof is there. Try to see other road. You will be able to see Beautiful Japan. Or you should try some manner of drink or foods. Some of foreign people dislike about Japanese people make a sounds when people drink. Japanese people don’t care if it makes sound or not.
Japanese people feels 6 senses so much.

I’m really excited because my friend and I are planning to go to Japan in November. Can you suggest anything interesting to see or do there? I would be interested in seeing shrines or temples, if that is possible. Thank you very much!
Hi, oh you are going to Japan!! That is great. If you want to see shirines or temples, you should go to KYOUTO. They city has a lot of famous places in KYOUTO. Around Kyouto was called “MIYAKO” long time ago. That means KYOUTO was capital in Japan. If you compare with KYOUTO and TOKYO, you can see the differences.
1. 清水寺:kiyomizu-dera. 2. 金閣寺:kinkakuji. These two temples are famous. They are world heritage in Japan.
